“Laissez nous respirer”

The death of George Floyd in the United States led to a wave of protests around the World. In France, this episode reopened political and social debates on the subject of racism, its different forms and its consequences in our society.

Many anti-racism marches took place in Paris over the controversy surrounding apparent discrimination and brutality by the police. At the Paris Courthouse, an impressive crowd made up of teenagers and young adults came to demand justice for Adama Traoré, who died in 2016 while in police custody.
